Nothing raises our awareness of our environment, the food we eat and the products we use than when we bring a child into the world. This book gives you clear advice for setting up a non-toxic nursery to reducing allergens and lead in your home and garden, how to shop for organic produce and eliminate harmful plastics. The list goes on but you will definitely benefit from all that you will learn and better your environment for your whole family. The more that do this on an individual level the healthier our families will be and the cleaner our beautiful Earth will stay!

Italian photographer, Gabriele Galimberti says “at their age, they are pretty much all the same; they just want to play.”

But from country to country, it’s clear that how they play is very, very different. This interesting look into children of the world and their most prized possessions say a bit more about the world’s societies than just what’s fun at playtime.

Every once in a while, someone can create something new out of something well known.  Kilian Martin is a professional skateboarder who’s doing just that.  Growing up in Spain, he studied gymnastics as a child, which helped him create his own individual style when his passion turned to skateboarding. Living locally in Southern California,  he’s combined old school freestyle with street skating to put him on a level all his own.

Nurseries tend to be a quiet and interesting place for your little one to call home and there’s no question that one of the most important (and iconic) items for a new nursery is the mobile. Mobiles are magical. There’s nothing like seeing your baby gaze up and follow the shapes, colors and movements in the sky.

If you’re the DIY type of parent, you can create one of these beautiful installations by using two wooden dowels, colored papers or foams and clear twine. The simplicity of this one we found online is stunning.

Friday afternoons at the Bumbleride office have been designated as “My Project” time. My Project is a project of choice with no specific guidelines or restrictions. We wanted to tap into the creative minds of our team. Last week we met up to share our My Project ideas. The ideas varied- everything from vertical, organic gardens in our office to really amazing initiatives to support and give to those in need. There are also several new design ideas that we hope to share in the coming years. We followed up the presentations with street tacos and margaritas. Always a good time!
