As the weather continues to cool, we parents sometimes need a little inspiration for indoor play. The Crafty Crow is an online collective of craft project found on weblogs of creative people who either have, or work with, children. Its extensive category list helps you navigate through the website with options starting from children’s ages to seasonal craft projects.
We love the ideas of reusing basic household items that are usually thrown away like this plastic lid hanging mosaic and these adorable cardboard tube marionettes. Visit Crafty Crow and start your indoor family fun!

We all want to show our children the world and now you can give them a glimpse with Globe Genie. Using Google Earths 360 degree cameras, creator Joe McMichael lets you teleport to places all around the world. You can narrow your destination down to a specific continent or just let Globe Genie do the traveling. On our adventure we saw penguins in Antarctica and then ended up on a small island in the East China Sea, where we spotted a group of preschoolers all wearing the same adorable yellow sunhat while out on a walk with their teachers. Sit down with your little ones and see the world!

We just returned from the ABC Kids Expo in Las Vegas and it was a blast. It’s always such a great time reconnecting with our dealers and previewing a little of what’s to come in the next year. We’re so excited about our new collections that we had to post a sneak peek.
On a side note, our favorite new product was Tegu. It’s a great company with a very interesting story. To learn more about them, visit Tegu.

With increased interest from international markets for Bumbleride products, we have been researching sales offices and distribution outlets in select international markets. After much anticipation, Bumbleride has launched in Europe at the Kind + Jugend international trade fair in Cologne, Germany held September 16-19, 2010. Kind + Jugend covered five floors of the Koelnmesse convention center in which several floors were almost exclusively devoted to gear. Although the fair included manufacturers and distributors from all over the world, we were very pleased to receive excellent reception to our U.S. designed product line. Distributors and retailers seemed to identify with the clean modern styling and branding that we’ve become known for in North America. We look forward to having Bumbleride products available in select locations throughout Europe in 2011.

School is starting and summer has almost come to an end. Although the sun didn’t get the summer memo here in Southern California, we still have some fun days to look back on. Many in the office were able to take summer vacations with their family and friends.
With the kids out of school it made for some lazy days at the beach, backyard barbeques and fun summer events like nights at the zoo, movie nights in the park and visiting San Diego’s New Children’s Museum.
Our annual Bumbleride Day at the Bay was a huge hit. The planned team events of sailboat racing, bocce and volleyball turned out to be a little too ambitious for a relaxing day at the beach. A barbeque on the beach was a nice way to end the summer.
