Nurseries tend to be a quiet and interesting place for your little one to call home and there’s no question that one of the most important (and iconic) items for a new nursery is the mobile. Mobiles are magical. There’s nothing like seeing your baby gaze up and follow the shapes, colors and movements in the sky.
Mobiles are also expensive. If you’re looking for something modern, simple and elegant, they can easily run up into the $50-$100 range. Some of our favorites are the Frazier & Wing as well as the Schmitt Design mobiles, available at Fawn & Forest (www.fawnandforest.com).

If you’re the DIY type of parent, you can create one of these beautiful installations by using two wooden dowels, colored papers or foams and clear twine. The simplicity of this one we found online is stunning.

Oh Joy! is one of our favorite blogs to follow. Joy’s sense of style and passion for design, fashion and food is so fun! We fell in love with little Ruby’s nursery after seeing it all come together. We’re not sure what we love more- the soft, simple color pallet or the interesting mix of textures and handmade goodies.
How comfy does that couch look?! Our most favorite element is the colorful and geometric Oeuf Artecnica mobile (another one of our favorite companies) which can be purchased here.
Click hereto see more beautiful images of Ruby’s room or visit here to read here entire blog.

Purchasing a stroller can be an overwhelming process. There are so many options and it can be tough deciding on which one is perfect for your lifestyle. It seems like modern nursery furniture is exploding with choices as well and we’ve stumbled upon one of our favorites. Ubabub is a modern furniture and art company right out of Australia. Mixing clean mid-century inspired lines with futuristic clear materials, Ubabub manages to create a look that is simple yet innovative. We’re partial to the chunky, Nifty Timber crib.
We’re also digging their oversized, vivid wall art! Learn more about Ubabub at their website and become a fan on Facebook.

One of our favorite childhood memories is building forts. We would run around the house and grab every blanket and pillow we could find and drape them all over the furniture to make our own little space. That’s why this DIY A-frame tent caught our eye. Not only is it adorable, but it’s affordable and doesn’t look like it takes too much skill with tools. Click Here, to see step-by-step directions on how to get started on your own little DIY tent!

At Bumbleride, the more we get to know our consumers, the more we understand how important simplicity is to them. The simplicity found in materials, design and the innovation of products can make them last longer, work better and most importantly, be more enjoyable to use. We stumbled upon Amorim, a Portuguese company, who has created a line of products called “Materia” out of a familiar material: cork.
Cork is reusable, biodegradable and extremely versatile. We’re in love with Materia’s primitive boats, unique office tools and gorgeous use of colored pencils. Visit Materia here to learn more about their efforts through cork.
